The Glamatic GPAM02 Anaesthesia Machine – Asleep Life Plus is a versatile anaesthesia delivery system designed for controlled and reliable administration of medical gases during surgical and anaesthetic procedures. Built on a sturdy mild steel powder-coated trolley with castors and brakes, the system provides convenient mobility while maintaining stability during operation.

The machine is designed to accommodate multiple gas cylinders and includes dedicated oxygen and nitrous oxide flowmeters, an oxygen failure protection system, vaporizer provision and pressure regulation components. Its integrated Oxygen Failure Protection Device (OFPD) provides an additional level of safety by preventing nitrous oxide flow when adequate oxygen flow is unavailable.

The GPAM02 features an audio-visual oxygen failure alarm, pneumatic nitrous oxide shut-off mechanism, emergency oxygen flush and pressure relief/non-return changeover system. A large storage drawer and instrument tray provide convenient space for accessories and monitoring equipment.

The machine can be configured for either central gas pipeline supply or cylinder-based gas supply, with gas-specific regulators, gauges and pin-indexed yokes. Optional accessories such as a circle absorber system and hypoxia guard can further enhance the system's functionality.

Trolley & Structure

Rotameter / Flowmeter

Oxygen Failure Protection Device (OFPD)

The integrated Glamatic Oxygen Failure Protection Device (OFPD) is designed as a fail-safe mechanism to enhance patient safety.

The system allows nitrous oxide flow only when oxygen flow is present at the rotameter level. If oxygen flow is interrupted or falls below the specified level, the system automatically activates its safety mechanism.

OFPD Operation

• Oxygen flow is continuously monitored through the rotameter.

• If oxygen flow falls below 1 L/min, an audio-visual alarm is activated.

• The pneumatic circuit simultaneously locks nitrous oxide flow.

• This helps prevent delivery of nitrous oxide in the absence of adequate oxygen flow.

• A detachable pneumatic circuit allows easier servicing and maintenance.

Optional Basal Oxygen Flow

When the OFPD is active and the oxygen failure alarm is triggered, an optional pneumatic circuit can be configured to provide a basal oxygen flow through the oxygen rotameter.

This feature is intended to provide an additional safety mechanism during oxygen supply interruption.

Vaporizer System
